Thomas Jeffrey "Jeff" Davis, 68, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2025. Over the years, Jeff courageously overcame multiple health setbacks before peacefully slipping into eternity surrounded by his family and close friends.
Jeff was born on August 20, 1956, to George C. and Billie Fae Davis in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he spent most of his childhood days. He graduated from Richard King High School in 1974. After attending Del Mar College, he moved to the Houston area.
Jeff began his 45 year career in the valve industry with KTM Valve in 1980. He further worked at Gulf Tex Valve, Flowserve, and Crane. In 2008, Jeff joined Process Resources, where he remained a valued member of the team until his passing. Over the years, Jeff was blessed with many wonderful colleagues and customers.
In 1999, Jeff met Jennifer Friedel, and they were married July 6, 2002. Their son, Austin, was born two years later, on March 27, 2004. Austin remained the apple of his dad's eye as he grew up, and Jeff was always so incredibly proud of him and his many accomplishments. As a family they enjoyed many adventures to the beach, baseball games and fossil hunting.
Jeff was an avid sports fan, following his favorite teams- the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. He grew to love the Texas Aggies and Pittsburgh Steelers through the influence of his wife, Jennifer. He also developed a love for photography which became a favorite hobby.
Jeff was a deeply knowledgeable and trusted professional respected by his colleagues. He was a beloved friend, uncle, brother, husband, and dad. He was greatly cherished by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeff was preceded in death by his dad, George C. Davis, his mom, Billie Fae Davis, his mother-in-law, Ann Friedel, his father-in-law, George Friedel, Jr., his aunt, Julia Davis, and his cousin, Jeri Darr.
Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 23 years, Jennifer, their son, Austin, his brother, Steve Davis; brothers-in-law George Friedel III (Dianne), and Tim Friedel (Donna); sister-in-law Cyndee Davis; nephews Neil Davis, Matthew Davis (Ashley), and Erik Friedel (Natalie); nieces Heather Davis Matas (Kobi), Merrisa Davis (Aaron), Amy Oglesby (Kris), Leigh Utakrit (Tong), Kaitlyn English (Josh), Amanda Burson (Will), and Haley Bergman (Ed); cousin Nancy Bridgers (Rick) and family, family of cousin Jeri Darr, as well as many great nieces, great nephews, and cherished friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held at Good Shepherd Methodist Church, 20155 Cypresswood Drive, Cypress, Texas 77433, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow at the church.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Methodist Hospital - Cypress for their exceptional care and gracious understanding and support.
