Thomas Dillon Sr.

Thomas Dillon, Sr., was born in Hartford, CT, in 1936. He resided in Glastonbury, Connecticut. He worked as an interior decorator in upholstery at Alden Supply Co. on Main Street in Hartford, Connecticut, from approximately 1964 to 1998. Then he went on to work for Connecticut Auto Auction in East Windsor, Connecticut, for a few years through his retirement. During retirement, he devoted most of his time to his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, watching football games, and long road trips. Mr. Dillon was blessed with a large, blended loving family. He raised his children and grandchildren with patience, discipline, dignity, and humility; he firmly believed in impartiality.
Mr. Thomas Dillon, Sr. was a kind, soft-spoken man who always had an answer to a question or was able to solve a problem no matter how small it may be.
He lived in Hartford County throughout the years and was predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Clara Dillon. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Mendez Dillon; his sister, Mary Baughns of Massachusetts; previous wife, Joyce Dillon of Georgia; children, Gwen Coleman, Vickora Dillon, Thomas Dillon, Jr. & Cheryl and Tonya Dillon all of Connecticut; stepchildren, Louie, Winston, Aldred, Morris, Andrea, Georgina, Jonathan, Anthea Mendez and his 33 grandchildren.
A Very Special thanks to Mrs. Modesto and stepdaughters, Anthea Mendez, APRN and Georgina Mendez RN who pursued and ensured optimal and quality care was provided for Thomas Dillon, Sr. during his illness until the time of departure.
He will be truly missed by his loved ones!
