Thomas Duris I Obituary
Thomas Michael Duris I, age 62 of Toledo passed away November 7, 2025. Thomas was born to Thomas Raymond and Julia (Dombi) Duris in Toledo, Ohio on Groundhog’s Day February 2, 1963. He was a 1981 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School where he wrestled and played football. Thomas went on the play football for St. Joseph’s College in Indiana. He was a crane operator by trade working in steel manufacturing.
Thomas loved sports his whole life; primarily The Ohio State Buckeyes but also enjoying following high school sports. He could be found playing golf every chance he could get and called Collins Park his second home. Thomas loved his family, children, grandchildren, and classic rock.
Thomas is survived by his son Thomas (Rachel) Duris II; daughter Stephanie (Joey) Wetmore; grandchildren Jordan, Weslie, Micah, and Eden; mother of his children Erica Berger; siblings Robert Duris, Carolyn Duris, and Lisa Duris and nephew Nathan (Amanda) Duris. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends and family for a memorial visitation at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon, Ohio on Friday November 14, 2025 from 2 until 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m.
