Tom was the beloved and proud father of Leah Fisher and Eric (Den) Fisher, and the beloved brother of David, John (Darlene), Mark, James (Barbara), Elizabeth (Greg), Martin (Theresa), and Andrew (Robin) and grew up in Birmingham, Michigan.
Tom was an accomplished and outstanding musician and loved playing the drums. His musical tastes were eclectic, and he loved to share his love of all music genres. Tom played in the local Detroit music scene in the bands Argos, Buzzards and Heifer/Gesture.
Tom owned his own business and was a successful and premier interior painter.
The deserts of California and the Great Lakes of Michigan were Tom's happiest places. Tom's kindness, sense of humor and perspectives on life made him a true and ready friend to many.
Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home at 1368 N, Crooks Road, Clawson Michigan on Thursday, June 13 between the hours of 3:00-8:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church at 32340 Pierce Street, Beverly Hills, Michigan 48025 at 11:00 AM Friday, June 14. Friends may visit at church beginning at 10:30 AM.
As Tom was a regular and avid blood donor, he would appreciate donations to the American Red Cross.

Although I only briefly met Tom, and it was a while back (2008ish), I just wanted to share a fun memory about a visit to San Diego with my then-girlfriend (now wife) Jessie (a family friend from Michigan). I distinctly remember Tom's enthusiasm for Anza-Borrego during a hike there. It was such a beautiful spot and a highlight of our visit. Anyway, I remember thinking Tom was pretty cool and sharing a kindred appreciation for the desert landscape with him. He said he could tell I was a "desert rat" at heart, which I thought was funny and certainly took as a compliment. Ever since, that random happy memory has always popped up for me on trips out west while enjoying a desert vista.

I will always remember Tom for being the kind soul he was. He always gave a friendly wave or "good morning!" when we crossed paths. He was such a kind man and a lovely neighbor. And his smile always brightened my day.
