Thomas James Hallick

Thomas James Hallick passed away March 22, 2023, at the age of 58.
Tommy was born December 28, 1964, to Dr. Nicholas Thomas and Mary Elfreida Hallick. He grew up in Corpus Christi with his siblings Pauline and Stephen. The family liked to remind him of how he escaped from the house when he was about two years old and was found by the police in only a diaper on Alameda, in the middle of an intersection. Raised in the Greek Orthodox Church, he graduated from Richard King High School before going to Texas A&M University in College Station.
Tommy worked as a general contractor and in water mitigation. An adventurous man, in his free time, he enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, flying, horseback riding, skiing, and gardening. He also liked the rodeo. He really enjoyed eating great food and was amazing at cooking and barbequing. Although he loved all food, oysters and bananas foster were his favorites. He listened to country music and loved the movie The Man from Snowy River. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, GCCA, SEA (Saltwater Enhancement Fisheries Association), and the Texas Cattleman's Association.
Tommy was a very outgoing man and had the biggest heart. He was always willing to help anyone, and was known to stop to help people stranded on the side of the road. He would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it more than he did. Tommy had a great sense of humor. He was very proud when his children were born, and enjoyed getting together with his family for holiday gatherings. He passed on to them his love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping.
Tommy leaves behind his wife Leslie Dawn Hallick, his daughter Diana Waelder Hallick, his son Thomas Nicholas "Cole" Hallick (Savannah), his grandchild Ryder Rae Hallick, his father Dr. Nicholas Thomas Hallick, his brother Michael Hallick (Debbie), his sister Pauline Hallick, his brother Stephen Hallick, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. He is reunited with his mother Mary Elfreida Hallick and his grandmother Pauline Bellos.
The family will greet guests for a visitation from 11-1 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Service - YORKTOWN BLVD. The family will gather for a private committal service at Seaside Memorial Park.
