Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jessen Funeral Home & Simple Cremation - Whiteland on Jun. 18, 2025.
Thomas Dean Hause, age 58, was drawn into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Born on June 30, 1966. He married the love of his life, Jamie (Moore) Hause on March 1, 1997.
Tommy was the most loving and devoted husband to his wife, Jamie. Their 28 years of marriage were a beautiful example of God's agape love and faithfulness. They built a life together centered around God and their deep love and respect for each other. They shared the most beautiful love for one another; a love that most never experience. Their loving devotion was obvious even to strangers.
Tom loved animals and was the most loving dog dad. His greatest joy was spoiling his wife and making her happy. He daily sought out ways to make her feel loved. His joy was found in the little things. His happiest moments were spent with his wife and dogs. He was forever grateful for a praying mother who pointed him towards Jesus and teaching him from God's word.
His nearly 59 years were a beautiful testimony of the Lord's faithfulness, love, mercy, and grace. His unwavering love for Jesus, even through the deepest valleys, was felt by anyone blessed enough to know him. His deep compassion for others was one of his greatest gifts.
Tom had the most gentle spirit, pouring his love and kindness into countless lives, leaving a legacy of love that will never be forgotten. Though he struggled with his earthly body throughout his life, he never let go of the hope he had in Jesus, knowing heaven would be filled with unspeakable joy and a new glorified body.
On June 12, Tommy's earthly struggles ceased as he was called home by his Savior, fully healed. I can imagine the greeting he received, "well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord" (Matthew 25:23). He leaned heavily on these promises, no matter what physical trial he was going through, he never felt sorry for himself. Always saying "there is someone worse off than me". His sweet smile and words of encouragement were a comfort to so many. His hilarious antics and witty humor brought laughter to us all. His bigger than life personality will be forever missed. He truly was a "gentle giant". His strong hands exuded much love, strength, and tenderness.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 28 years Jamie Hause, his doggies, Oliver and Teddy, his sister, Runea (Dale) Adkins, brother Larry (Stefanie) Hause, his mother-in-law, Gail (Tom) Linville, and many loving family members and friends. He was proceeded in death by his mother Maxine Pedigo.
Tommy's home going is a vivid reminder of the briefness of life and the urgent need for God's forgiveness and an active relationship with Jesus. We find peace in his unwavering faith, love overflowing, and his eyes that were continually fixed on his eternity.
There are no words adequate enough to express how deeply he will be missed. Babe, you ran the race and you kept the faith. Enter boldly into your reward. You are the love of my life, my best friend and I will see you one day on the streets of gold.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Friendship Church 963 East Worthsville Rd., Greenwood, IN, 46143. Visitation will be from 4PM to 6 PM with memorial service to follow officiated by Pastor Dave Crandall.
