Tom was as special as they come. He would "Be There" when you needed, tell you what you needed to hear (Not always what you wanted to hear), and make you feel cared about.
Tom answered calls with me when things got bad and also would roll up on a call just to make sure all was going ok. Tom was the first one to be there when Hurrican Opal flooded our house right as we were having our little girl and helped to demo it so we could save money and get the place rebuilt a whole lot quicker.
Since both of our retirements, when I would come back to town, I often saw him at the "Pig" in Fountain when I stopped for gas and a quick chat ended up in long drawn-out reminiscing sessions of times gone by.
I will sure miss the smile, the neck hugging, and the feeling knowing that if my family ever needed a helping hand, he would be there.
Lori and Tommy, thank you for sharing Tom with the rest of us for so long.
We love you.
