Thomas P. Higgins

Thomas P. Higgins, 58, of Lynn, passed away on Friday, March 22. He was the beloved husband of Kimberly (Guiney) Higgins, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage.
Tom was born in Salem, MA, on January 10, 1966, son of the late Robert and Cecile (Potvin) Higgins. He was raised and educated in Salem, a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1985. He went on to attend Salem State University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business in 1992. He continued his education, receiving his Master's Degree from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018.
He was currently working as a Teacher in the Business Department at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, where he served for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening, cooking, carpentry, listening to one of his favorite artists, Kenney Chesney, but more importantly he loved being around his students, family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Besides his loving wife of 32 years, he is survived by his sons, Brandon and Trevor Higgins of Lynn; his siblings and their spouses, Robert Higgins and Tami of Minnesota, James Higgins and Mary of Beverly, Kathleen and John Augulewicz of Eliot, ME; his nieces and nephews, Eric, Kerry, Breanna, Erin, Adam, Candice, Anthony, Madison, Jackson, Emily, Abby, Lindsay; his great nieces and nephews, Ella, Emma, Jake, Michael, Zion; his in-laws, Robert and Gail Guiney of Nahant, Lisa and Thomas Wrenn of Nahant, Robert and Colleen Guiney of Swampscott; his godmother and cousin, Barbara Bland and Patricia Conway of Salem, NH, and Uncle-in-law, Ed Fleming of Lynn, and many friends and colleagues.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, from 12PM-4PM at the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway(Rt. 129), Lynn, followed by a service at 4PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to Tom Higgins Scholarship, Peabody High School, 485 Lowell St., Peabody, MA 01960.
