Thomas Michael Hoeferlin

Thomas Michael Hoeferlin, 77, of Jefferson City, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born on July 9, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri, son of the late John and Dorothy (Reilly) Hoeferlin. He married Patsy Gretlein on May 17, 1980.
He was a graduate of Mercy High School and attended Florissant Valley Community College. Thomas owned and operated Cimmaron Health Care, Castleparke Retirement Centers, and Valley Park Retirement Centers. He spent four years in the Army from 1968 to 1972. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's hockey and volleyball games, St. Louis Cardinals games, listening to the oldies, family trips to Vegas and the beach, and of course playing video poker at the casino. Most of all, Thomas loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Thomas is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patsy; sons, Chad Griggs (Alice) of Holt Summit, Missouri; T.J. Hoeferlin (Jennifer) of Edwardsville, Illinois; daughter, Beth Barger (Matt) of St. Louis, Missouri; brother, John "Skip" Hoeferlin; sisters, Joann Johansen, Jeanne Dolan; grandchildren, Brett Griggs (Lexi) of St. Louis, Missouri, Lindsey Griggs of Kansas City, Missouri, Jessica Cunningham (Declan) of Phoenix, Arizona, Nicholas Barger of St. Louis, Missouri, Liam Hoerferlin, Declan Hoeferlin, and Killian Hoeferlin; great grandchildren, Veronica "Ronni" Griggs, Thomas Griggs, He was preceded in death by his parents.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Trinity Lutheran School in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, at Houser-Millard Funeral Director's. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
