Sonny was a Veteran of the Army, Heavy Equipment Operator, Farmer, member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and Operators Union # 181.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dianne King of Smithland; one son, Thomas Earl King Jr. and wife Linda of Mayfield; one daughter, Paula King Jones and husband Shawn of Grand Rivers; one brother, Edward King and wife Cathy of Simpson, IL; two grandchildren, Sarah Schmidt and husband Trent, Cameron King.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl T. King and Fannie Geneva (Moyers) King; two sisters, Norma King Myrick, Marie Eddleman.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. Ronnie Stinson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rosebower Cemetery in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions made to Trace Creek Baptist Church Park Fund, 3577 St Rt 131, Mayfield, KY 42066.
