Thomas Kramer, 83, of Anchorage, Alaska passed away on May 15th, 2024.
Tom was born on November 12, 1940 to Harold and Martha Kramer in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. After Tom graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959, he went on to proudly serve in the US Army. After his discharge, he traveled around the states before finding his way to Alaska. Tom was a civil servant at Fort Richardson Army Base in Anchorage with a career in the Carpenters Shop from which he retired after many years of employment.
In 1972, Tom came to Anchorage, following the love of his life Lynn "Pumpkin" and her boys from Wisconsin. They were married in July 1974, and raised their family with a large, supporting, extended family of Lynn's which included her three sisters and brother, along with their spouses and lots of kids! Family ties were important and strong with Tom and Lynn.
He had a rough and tough appearance on the outside, with a soft heart on the inside. Tom aka" Gramps" showed unconditional love to his family, had a surreal sense of humor to make others laugh, really liked his OskKosh overalls, and had a sweet tooth for cookies.
Tom was preceded by his loving wife of 47 years Lynn Kramer of Anchorage, mother Martha Kramer, father Harold Kramer, sister Janice Thornell and brother Dan Kramer of Manitowoc.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Sharon Liska, Kent and Kathy Liska, Jayme and Darcy Liska, all of Anchorage, 10 grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous family members, including nephews and nieces in Alaska, Wisconsin, Washington, and Colorado.
A memorial service will be held at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel 737 E Street, Anchorage, AK 99501, on May 24, 2024 at 11 AM.
Zoom Meeting ID# 810 1730 9393 Passcode: Kramer
