Mr. Thomas Lough, 64, of Lemont Furnace, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Uniontown on October 27, 1960 to the late Hansford and Ida Davies Lough.
Tom graduated from Laurel Highlands High School, class of 1978.
He married Melissa Matthews on October 24, 1981.
Tom owned and operated Lough's Lab Inc. with his sister, Betsy, for thirty years.
He was a member of Cherry Tree Alliance Church of Uniontown.
Tom had lifelong affiliation with Boy Scouts Troop 608 of Third Presbyterian Church of Uniontown.
He was an avid Steelers fan. He enjoyed nature, especially camping and hiking. He was also a music lover, and was a member of several local bands, playing the bass guitar and upright bass. Tom was known for his sense of humor and being a jokester.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Lough of Lemont Furnace; daughter, Andrea Taylor and husband Bryson of Lemont Furnace; a grandson, Leo; sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Horton and husband Douglas of Uniontown; sister-in-law, Melanie Bond and husband Stacey of Bakersfield, CA; father-in-law, Raymond Matthews of Lemont Furnace; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lough and a sister, Donna Lough; and mother-in-law, Judy Matthews.
Visitation for Tom will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Friday, May 23rd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and Saturday, May 24th from 10 to 11 AM. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. David Goodin officiating.
Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedysis Hospice for the care that was given to Tom.
