Thomas Michael Mahoney Obituary Funeral Mass for Thomas M. Mahoney, 71, of Leroy Twp., will be 12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37932 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Thomas M. Mahoney, 71, passed away Aug. 27, 2025, at his home.
Born June 17, 1954, Thomas spent most of his life in Lake County, except for a few years he lived in Florida.
Thomas attended Immaculate Conception grade school and St. Joseph High School, where he was in the marching band. He attended The Ohio State University, where he graduated with a degree in accounting. After graduation, Thomas worked at Ohio Rubber as a tow motor operator. After moving, he had the job he loved, an owner of a pet store, Chesterland Pets. Thomas loved to fish, read and most of all, he loved all his dogs.
He was the brother of Jean Marie (Dan) and Robert; uncle of Kelly (Mike) and Maura (Joe); and great-uncle of Cole, Tara, Johnathon and Andrew.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Donald T. and Rosemary (nee Bednar) Mahoney; and great-nephew, William.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial to take place at 12 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
