Thomas John McManus

Thomas was born in Paterson, New Jersey, and raised in Rochelle Park, where he attended Sacred Heart Elementary and Hackensack High School. It was there that he met the love of his life, Patricia, who would become his devoted wife of 55 years.
Tom began his college journey at Miami University in Ohio but soon transferred to Rutgers University, driven by his commitment to his education and his longing to be closer to Patricia. He earned his degree and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant, a profession he pursued with dedication and integrity. For over 30 years, Tom ran his own successful tax practice in Wilton, Connecticut, where he and Pat made their home and raised their two children, Kelly (Fairfield University 97) and Tim (Fairfield Prep 95).
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom's true calling was in service to others. In 2000, he was ordained a Deacon in the Diocese of Bridgeport, embracing his faith with humility and grace. His deep commitment to his community extended through his active involvement in the Knights of Columbus, the Wilton Rotary Club, and the Wilton Chamber of Commerce.
Tom also found joy in traveling-particularly on cruises with Patricia and close friends-and treasured the spiritual enrichment of pilgrimages to the Holy Land. In his later years, he embraced the role of caregiver, serving as a steadfast and compassionate presence for his beloved wife.
Thomas's life was one of faith, service, and enduring love. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Pat, Son Tim And Daughter Kelly (Mike) in addition to his 4 grandchildren, Sean, William, Kaitlyn and Kerry, his sister Marlene and several nieces and nephews, predeceased by his parents and brother Edward.
A wake will be held on Monday, April 28, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Harding Funeral Home in Westport CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Bishop Frank Caggiano, Tuesday, April 29 at 10:00 am, at St. Francis Church in Weston, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery at Greens Farms in Westport, CT.
