Wayne C. Paull

Wayne Charles Paull passed away on January 3, 2026. He was born on May 3, 1946, in

Camden, New Jersey, the only child of Sam and Bert Paull. He is survived by his son,

Matthew (Leslie), and his grandsons, Brittain and Cooper.

Wayne was a devoted husband who spent years caring for his wife, Lee, during her

declining health until her passing. Wayne and Lee met while attending the University of

Connecticut, where he was on a football scholarship. After college, Wayne joined the

Army.

With Lee's support, Wayne chose a career in film as a motion picture cameraman-an

unexpected path for a jock from New Jersey. His work took him around the world,

covering the PGA, Indy racing, the circus, and interviewing figures such as George

Bush Sr., various world leaders, The Dalai Lama, and a Nobel Prize–winning poet, as

well as countless fascinating people from all walks of life.

Wayne was deeply curious about the world and felt fortunate to have seen so much of it

and to have captured what he could on film. He had many stories and loved to share

them, and we will all miss hearing them.

A service will be held Monday, January 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Harding Funeral Home, 210

Post Road East, Westport, Connecticut.
