Thomas Edward Neininger, 74, of Dennison died peacefully at home early Tuesday morning of August 20, 2025, under the care of Lifecare Hospice.

Tom was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on November 22, 1950, to the late Lawrence and Betty (Harris) Neininger. He graduated from Claymont High School in 1969 and then served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. Once he was discharged, Tom came back to work for Superior Clay, from where he retired in 2011. He enjoyed watching older shows like Gunsmoke and M.A.S.H. and going to Midvale speedway. Tom also loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching all the activities they were involved in.

Surviving are his three children: Thomas Edward Neininger II, of Dennison, Kelley Lynne (Mike) Maykowski of Scio, and Kevin Eugene (Alicia) Neininger of Bowerston; grandchildren: Caroline, Cody, Mckenzie, Kylie, Nate, Neely, Bryce, and Hunter; great-grandchildren: Maelynne, Sylvia, Walker; brothers: Jim, Jerry, Dave, Phillip, and John Neininger, sister Debbie Ross, special family member Thomas Rodriguez, and granddaughter-in-law Megan Maykowski.

Along with his parents, Tom is preceded in death by two brothers: Dennis and Robert Neininger.

Calling hours for Tom will be on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten, 244 N. Walnut Street, 44629. Following calling hours, Tom will be taken in a procession to Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard, and a funeral service officiated by Dixie Hendrix.
