Tom passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center-Saginaw. He was 76 years old. Tom was born on July 14, 1948, in Bay City, to the late Alvin and Esther (Hammerbacher) Neumeyer.
Tom was married to Judy (Ranke) Neumeyer on January 24, 1970, she survives him. He is also survived by his children: Michael (Vicki) Neumeyer and Ashley (Brian) Bond; his grandchildren: Austin Bruce and Matthew Bond; great grandchildren: Liam and Lucas Bruce; his brothers and sisters: Dennis (Marsha) Neumeyer, Ann (Tim) Schroeder, John (Nan) Neumeyer, Brenda (Mark) Crane, Marte (Leigh) Neumeyer, Beth (Scott) Norfleet; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Prior to his retirement, Tom worked at GM – Plant #2 for 33 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing Euchre. Tom was honorably discharged from the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War.
Tom's visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Tom's funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss, Saginaw, where American Legion Post 22, Saginaw, will conduct military honors. Visitation at church will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Michael Korte will officiate. In accordance with Tom's wishes, cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be given to The Oscar and Marilyn Ranke Scholarship Fund or Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda, Michigan.
