It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Dewey Parham, age 82, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Tom was born on March 31, 1942, to the late Carmel Parham and the late Alice Fish Parham and had made his home in Haywood County all of his life. He had been employed by Champion International Paper where he retired with many dedicated years. If you knew Tom, you would know he had a great passion for motorcycles and antique cars. Also he could be found rummaging at yard sales or searching for treasures at flea markets.
There was no greater love for Tom than to help anyone in need. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of everyone he met and knew no bounds. If someone needed the shirt off his back, Tom would have given it without a second thought. Tom's heart of gold and his true kindness to others will forever be an example to those who were blessed to have known him. Tom was always an example of comfort and strength to those around him. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and special friend.
Wherever Tom went, laughter was sure to follow. His delightful personality and fun-loving spirit were contagious. What defined Tom was his love for his family and friends. Tom adored his grandchildren and the times spent with them were the highlight of his life. He cherished every smile every laugh and hug making memories that would last a lifetime. As we remember Tom, we find comfort in the memories he left us. His spirit will always guide us, reminding us to cherish our loved ones, and find joy in each day we have together. Tom lived life to the fullest and will forever be remembered as the most caring and fun loving "Ole Man" around.
As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived and the true example of a "Great Man." Tom will be deeply loved and missed forever.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Parham.
Tom is survived by his sons, Rick Parham, and Mark Parham (Audra); granddaughters, Amanda Rogers, Kaitlyn Rogers, Elizabeth Rogers, Tori Thomas (Ronnie), and Marij Pittman, great-grandchildren, Rosemary Rogers, Raelyn Rogers, Jaxon Rogers, Xavier Hollifield, Layla, Callie, and Caydyn Pittman; a niece, Candy Inman; the love of his life, Wanda Kanupp and his extended family, Kevin Rogers, Aaron Rogers, and Jack Kanupp; also Tom's beloved dog, Sadie.
To honor Tom's wishes, no formal services will be held.
Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Parham family.

Tom is missed and will always be missed. He was my Daddy´s bestfriend when they were in their 20´s and probably before that but I was born then and I´ve always known Tom. He has come in and out of my life and it seemed like it was always when I needed him the most. He has helped me through life´s tribulations. I can say that I always loved Tom like a father. At times I swear I could hear my Daddy speak through Tom. God blessed me with Tom. Godspeed Tom!!! You lived a full life here on earth! Let´s see what you can do in heaven!!
