Thomas Wayne "Tom" Phillips

WAKE FOREST- Thomas Wayne "Tom" Phillips, 80, of Rolesville Road, died Thursday, January 23,2025 at his home. Born January 27, 1944 in Tompkins County, NY, he was the son of the late Emma Little Phillips and Evan Phillips, Sr. Tom was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Henderson Moose Lodge and the America Legion. He retired from the New York State Electric and Gas Company.
A memorial service with military honors will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. by Rev. William Boyd Jackson in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home.
Tom is survived by his wife, Beverly Wright Phillips of the home; his daughter, Terri P. Zobel and husband, Richard of Rolesville; a daughter-in-law, Terri Phillips of Franklin, VA; six grandchildren, Kyle Zobel, Kathryn Zobel, Charlotte Zobel, Andrew Zobel, Bailey Phillips and Bristol Phillips; two great-grandchildren, Rae Phillips and Dean Phillips; his sister, Hazel Mae P. Avery of Groton, NY; his brother, Evan Phillips, Jr. of New Syrma Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Phillips.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home.
