Pastor Thomas Allen Powers, 62, of Cheyenne, died on February 28, 2023 in Cheyenne.
He was born on January 22, 1961 in Huntington Park, California.
Tom was a passionate and loving pastor serving most recently at Calvary Chapel of Cheyenne. He loved pastoral counseling, helping people in need, teaching God's word, sharing the gospel, and strengthening Christian believers. Tom's previous employment included restaurant management for several different companies, including Arby's, Taco Bell, and Taco John's here in Cheyenne.
He loved music, playing the guitar, interactive video gaming and many other hobbies. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, son, and brother who loved spending time with his family.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Emily,and his precious daughter, Bailey, as well as, his mother, Boots, three sisters, Mona, Beverly, and Cindy, and many other dearly loved friends and extended family.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Ruben Vargas, step-father Bill Powers, and grandparents, Ben and Ramona Jaramillo.
Services will be Friday, 1:00 p.m., at Calvary Chapel of Cheyenne.
