Thomas Ramsbotham

Thomas Ramsbotham of Madbury, NH, with the heaviest of hearts has joined his deceased parents, Ernest and Agnes Ramsbotham. He died August 26 peacefully in his sleep at 91 years old.
Thomas lived a full and adventurous life. He served during the Korean Conflict, as an Russian language voice interpreter in Japan. Listening to Russian Radio broadcasts for the Army. He earned a Korean Service Medal, United National Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
After serving with the Army, he went to UNH for Engineering, later he graduated the Apprentice program as a Sonar Specialist at the Portsmouth Navy Shipyard. He traveled extensively with his job, to Scotland and Spain. He retired after 35 years of service.
In his golden years, he owned a Cut Your Own Christmas Tree business, sold flowers and vegetables at local farmer markets. He traveled with his beloved wife, Carolyn to Alaska, Hawaii, and was a snowbird in Florida for 27 years.
He leaves behind his wife of 68 years Carolyn Ramsbotham, his daughters and their husbands, Jeannette and Andy Fones, Patricia and Mark Tuttle and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Service will be on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road (Rt.4), Lee NH 03861. Visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM, then a Catholic Service at 10:00 AM with Father Andrew Cryans officiating. Followed by a Graveside Service at Madbury Cemetery on 2 Cherry Lane, Madbury, NH 03823. Reception after the Graveside Service will be held at the family's residence.
