After a life well-lived, Thomas W. Ritchie, age 73, went to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 2, 2025, after a brief illness.
Tom was proceeded in death by his parents, Katherine and John "Jack" Ritchie Jr.
Tom is survived and missed by his wife, best friend, and partner for 30 years, Kristen; his children, Jason, Daniel, Michael and Amy; stepdaughter, Britni; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Katherine "Kati" Ritchie and Stephen Ritchie (Connie); as well as many nieces, nephews,
Tom was the President of Ritchie Engineering Company, Inc. / Yellow Jacket in Bloomington MN. His father Jack was the founder. Tom was a member of several HVAC/R Organizations ASHRAE, AHR, HARDI and delivered a 56-year legacy in the industry by designing and developing many specialized tools.
Throughout his life, Tom devoted time to Habitat for Humanity, animal shelters, The Salvation Army, the local Chamber of Commerce and served his community. He enjoyed building with his hands from creating tree houses to renovating homes. Enjoying nature was also a passion, whether it was boating on the lake or riding snowmobiles in the Minnesota winter.
A Celebration to honor Toms life and accomplishments will be held in May 2025.
