Thomas Semler Obituary
Thomas C. Semler, 81, of Hamilton, NJ, entered into his eternal rest on Thursday, December 28, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. Thomas was a plumber by trade and had retired after more than 30 years of dedicated employment from the Department of Corrections in maintenance where he was the assistant engineer upon his retirement. Thomas was a decorated U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. He loved fishing and trips to Island Beach State Park. He was a family man who loved photography and took cruises with his wife to the Mediterranean and Alaska. Thomas served as his family's very own MacGyver and could be counted on to fix anything. He was an adoring and devoted husband, father, grandfather ("Pop Pop"), and friend.
Son of the late Thomas M. and Audrey (Munson) Semler; he is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara (Agabiti) Semler; his two daughters, Lisa and husband William Applegate, and Renee and husband Sean Kerins; two grandchildren, Thomas Applegate and Austin Kerins; as well as other family and friends.
Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
