Thomas E. Siegel of Marianne passed away January 28, 2025 at Snyder Memorial Health Care after suffering from dementia.
The son of Harold and Elizabeth Siegel, Tom was born in Clarion on November 8, 1939. He attended Immaculate Conception School. He received a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1961 and an MBA from Penn State in 1972. Tom was in the US Navy, completing Officer Candidate School, and serving shipboard mostly in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. He returned to the Clarion area in 1974 to engage in coal mining and limestone quarrying. He retired in 2018.
Tom was an avid Notre Dame and Steeler football fan. His family noticed that he really enjoyed a good recliner.
Tom is survived by his wife Sarah and his children Alice (Mike) Harkey and Edward (Emily) Siegel as well as grandchildren Matthew Harkey, Adela Harkey, Henry Siegel and Elizabeth Siegel.
He is also survived by his siblings Jerome Siegel, John Siegel, Elizabeth (Louis) Harman and Dennis (Karen) Siegel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His parents and his siblings Harold Siegel and Edith Lindstrom predeceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church. Friends are invited to share time with his family in the Gathering Area of the First United Methodist Church, 600 Wood St., Clarion from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Anyone wishing to honor Tom with a memorial donation may do so to the organization of their choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion.
