Thomas Scott Sindlinger, 72, of Tuscarawas, died at his home Saturday morning on November 23, 2024.
A lifelong resident of the area, Tom was born in Dennison, Ohio on January 25, 1952, to the late John F. and Margaret Ann (Rentch) Sindlinger. He graduated from Indian Valley South in 1970, and then attained an associate's degree from Kent State Tuscarawas. He then went to work for UPS and retired after thirty-one years. After retirement in 2006, Tom did some car detailing from spring to late fall and worked part time for the Village of Tuscarawas.
Tom was a member of the Elks and Legion in Newcomerstown and the Tusky V.F.W. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and golfing.
Surviving are his two children: LaCreasa (Richard) Allen and Scott (Lourdis) Sindlinger, both of Bluffton, South Carolina; four grandchildren: Mitchell (Zoey) Burcher, Chase (Kayla) Burcher, Gabriel Sindlinger, and Macaria Sindlinger; seven great-grandchildren: Ariana, Paisley, Ella, Bryce, Bruin, Bodhi, and Luna; two sisters: Chris Wills of Gnadenhutten, and Stacy (Mark) Rivett of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Only his parents precede him in death.
Following Tom's wishes he will be cremated and buried in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery with his parents. No public services will be held.

I´ll always remember Tommy as a kid playing his drums, which he was incredible at and throwing a football with my brother in the backyard for hours on end and his laugh. So many great memories. God bless him in Heaven.

I knew Tom as a quiet peaceful person . We played basketball on the outdoor court at night when I was in school. Later worked for him several times always a pleasure to be around.

Tommy joined our regular golf foursome a couple years ago. He fit in right away. He was overcoming some health issues but he never complained...he was a philosopher at heart. He had a positive outlook, he was intelligent and he was very funny with a dry wit. We all cared about Tommy and he cared about us. We are all getting closer to 80 and we realize you just don´t replace a friend like Tommy.
