Thomas Roy Thompson, Midland, Michigan
Beloved and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland surrounded by his family. Age 85 years. Tom was born May 25, 1940, in Saginaw, Michigan, son of the late Roy and Evelyn (McNally) Thompson. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1958 and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Michigan University in 1962. He married Diann M. Weber, his loving wife of 63 years, on April 14, 1962. She predeceased him May 19, 2025.
His career spanned many successful years in the automotive industry-beginning his career at General Motors, where he became Senior Buyer at the Chevrolet Central Office; later working at Mahar Tool Supply as a manufacturer's representative; and ultimately establishing his own thriving company, Thomas R. Thompson & Associates, in 1975, where he worked until his retirement in 2007. His leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect, and often close friendship of his colleagues and clients.
Tom and Diann built a lifetime of memories together. They enjoyed traveling with family and friends, living and boating on Sanford Lake, and spending winters on the beach at Marco Island, Florida. They were members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church until moving to Midland, when they became members of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Tom was a devoted fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Lions, and Tigers, and of the University of Michigan Football team. He was an avid outdoorsman, as shown for his love of fishing, duck and pheasant hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, tennis, and boating, which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Michigan Out of Doors. Tom was known for his strong character and his sense of humor. Wherever he went, there was fun and laughter, and he created countless memories and lasting friendships with everyone he met. He was deeply dedicated to those he loved and remained connected to family and friends, supporting those he cared about throughout his life. He will be truly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Jamie (Martin) Sheridan, Julie (Dr. Randall) Weiss; his grandchildren, Dr. Rachel (John) Sinacola, Christopher (Amy) Sheridan, Jenna Weiss, Dr. Thomas Weiss; great-grandchildren, Elliot and Lucy Sheridan and Mia and Joseph Sinacola; his sister, Diane Jamieson; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Keefer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Diann; his parents, Roy and Evelyn Thompson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Bertha Weber.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Primrose Retirement Community and MyMichigan Medical Center Midland ICU for their support and compassionate care.
Honoring Tom's request, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service will take place 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. Saginaw, Michigan. Pastor Joshua Parsons will officiate with private burial in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, where the family will be present on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Pardee Wellness Cancer Center in Midland, Michigan. Jamie and Julie. Your wonderful dad was a man of many words and I remember so many good memories from both of your parents especially snowmobiling. So glad you were our neighbors growing up back in the day and I really enjoyed spending time with Mr. T especially fishing and listening to his stories. Big Hugs to you both. Heaven will have their hands full of laughter, love and a couple Budweiser's

Jamie & Julie
Laura and I are sad for your loss and yet happy you had such great parents for as long as you did. Your dad and I talked on each others Birthdays every year since we left Saginaw. Your dad always got me laughing even when he struggled to talk. The last time we talked was on my birthday in January and I ask him if he had any regrets he said only one he wished he had partied more. He knew that would get me laughing.
We send our love to both of you, Gary and Laura Miserlian
