Thomas "Tommy" Lee Porter, Jr. age 61 of Millboro, VA passed away on Monday, October 7, 2025, at Lewis - Gale Hospital Alleghany in Low Moor. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia on April 17, 1963, a son of the late Thomas Lee, Sr. and Karen Cooper Porter. Tommy enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outside. He was a proud veteran having served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tracie Buchanan Porter; son, Thomas Lee Porter III; daughter, Amber Elizabeth Porter; mother-in-law, Jean Buchanan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Terri Fortier (Paul), Buddy Buchanan (Diane), Tammy Nicely and Peyton and Kasei, David Buchanan and Kayla Paxton, Reena Anderson (Craig). He also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins along with special friends, Scott Showalter and Ben Truett (Leslie), community neighbors, and his canine companions, Grover, Molly, Little Bit and Henry the cat.
A celebration of his life with military honors will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, October 11, 2024, at First Christian Church of Clifton Forge with the Rev. Donnie Porter and Mr. Buddy Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
