Thomas Michael Trudel, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and beloved friend to many, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the
Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Massachusetts, surrounded by his immediate family, at the age of 76. Born on May 30, 1949, in Ipswich, MA, Tom lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, humor, and an unwavering love for his family and community.
Tom was the proud Owner and President of Beverly Glass Company, a family business he led with passion and integrity since 1981. His leadership and commitment helped shape the company into a North Shore institution, admired by colleagues, customers, and friends alike. Beyond his business, Tom was deeply rooted in his community. He served as Past President of the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, was an active Beverly Rotarian, and was honored with the Small Business of the Year Award by the Chamber - a reflection of his tireless dedication and giving spirit.
Known throughout the North Shore as an icon of generosity and kindness, Tom had a gift for helping others and took great pride in lifting people up whenever he could. Those who knew Tom will remember his boundless energy and his enormous heart. He was the kind of man who was first in and last out every day, a devoted leader and mentor who treated his employees like family. He had an easy way of meeting new people and making friends wherever he went. Tom was larger than life - truly a great friend, the life of the party, and always ready with a smile, a story, or a helping hand.
Outside of work, Tom's joys were many. He loved Frank Sinatra's music, family parties in Rumney, New Hampshire, boating and beach days, golf, and traveling with family and friends. Whether enjoying a couple of beers downtown at Off the Vine, a trip to Turks and Caicos, Martha's Vineyard, or dinner at Plum Island Grille, he embraced every moment of life with warmth and enthusiasm.
Tom shared over 45 years of marriage with Pamela M. Trudel, the love of his life, and together they built a life rich in love and laughter. He was the proud father of Danielle M. Nichols and her husband, Ryan W. Nichols, and the adoring grandfather of Benjamin George Nichols, who brought endless joy to his life.
He is survived by his siblings Sheila Comeau, Theresa Matregrano, Ellen Tobiasz and her husband Robert Tobiasz, Christine Trudel, his sister-in-law Sharon Trudel, and his brother-in-law Dwight K. Freeman, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will carry his memory forward. Tom was predeceased by his parents, John and Ellen Trudel, and his siblings John Trudel, Mary Young and her husband Ronnie, George Trudel, and his brother-in-law Dick Comeau.
His funeral service will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Thursday, November 13th at 4pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 1pm to 4pm. Tom loved flowers and would have appreciated them, but for those who wish, donations may also be made in his memory to the
Alzheimer's Association, the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, or the Beverly Rotary Club. Tom's legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his big heart, his generosity, and his zest for life.
