Thomas Veith Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 7, 2019.
Mr. Thomas Bird Carl Veith, of Big Bear, California, born on December 15, 1978 in Long Beach, California, to the late Marjorie Veith and Donald Veith, passed away at age 40 on March 29, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada.Tommy was a very sweet and kind person always finding a way to help others. Tommy was very quiet around people he didn't know but once he got used to you, he was a comedian. He loved telling jokes, he could recite probably 80% of the movies that were ever made. Tommy was also very smart, and he lived for the guitar. Tommy was such a good kid he went to school on senior ditch day just so he would have perfect attendance. Tommy also did not lie he is one of the very few that no matter what he could not lie that's why his twin sister Mandy got in trouble all of the time. Tommy loved wrestling, going to concerts, and music. Metallica was his favorite band. He lived, slept and breathed all things Metallica. He studied hard and learned how to play every Metallica song on his guitar; giving most of the credit to his favorite music teacher Mr. Harrison. Thank you so much Mr. Harrison, Tommy had much respect and love for you. In 2003 he won a contest on the radio and was crowned Las Vegas' #1 Metallica fan. The radio station flew him and his sister Mandy (she was the one who gave him his first Metallica Tape which was And Justice For all) to Beverly Hills and they got to hang out with Metallica for three days and be on MTV Metallica Icon. Sadly, throughout his short life, Tommy drank a lot and that's what got him in the end. He tried so hard to get better over 133 doctors appts in a year and they really never came up with a diagnosis. Tommy finally got tired of it and he quit going to the doctor and he just got worse and worse until it wasn't fixable anymore.Tommy survived by his brothers, Donnie, Allen, and Dean; sisters, Mandy Veith(twin), Kerry, Casey, Colleen, Trish, Shannon, Timaree, Deana, Alexi, and Cynthia. He also leaves behind his greatly loved cat, Wags. He had many hobbies including playing guitar, painting, and playing video games. Friends and family members may attend the celebration of life service on Saturday, May 4 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Crossroads Clubhouse, 773 Knickerbocker Rd., Big Bear Lake, California, 92315.

My dear old friend Tommy. I will miss you. You were a good man and a good person. Your soul was pure and full of love. Ever since we were kids and friends hanging out and playing baseball, and watching wrestling you were always fun to be around. You could keep a room laughing but would get incredibly shy at times. Such a diverse person, I regret ever losing touch as were got older. I love you brother. Until see meet again my friend, rest in piece.

Love you twin
