Thomas “Tom” J. Vincent

November 30, 1946 – October 19, 2025

Thomas “Tom” J. Vincent, age 78, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, after a 25-year battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on November 30, 1946, in Spokane, WA, Tom was the beloved son of Jesse and Betty Vincent.

Tom grew up in Liberty Lake, Washington, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for hard work and community. He graduated from Central Valley High School and went on to earn his degree from Washington State University in 1969.

A true entrepreneur, Tom built a legacy through his dedication and sharp business sense. He founded and operated several successful building supply companies from the ground up, including Coeur d’Alene Builders Supply, Sandpoint Building Supply, Spokane Builders Supply, and Tri City Builders Supply. His leadership, work ethic, and generosity left a lasting impact on those who worked with him and the communities he served.

For the past 20 years, Tom made his home in Post Falls with his beloved wife, Lynn (Rasmussen) Vincent. Together, they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

He is also survived by his sister, Linda Vincent; his four children, Amy, Carrie, Sarah, and Bradley; and his nine cherished grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Tom will be remembered for his strong-willed spirit, love for the outdoors, and his deep generosity. He found joy in golfing, building rock walls, and riding his Harley—activities that reflected his love for craftsmanship, freedom, and simple pleasures.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
