Thomas J. Williams Jr.

Thomas Jerrold (TJ) Williams, Jr. passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at his home in Ocean City. Born in Portsmouth, VA, he grew up in Maryland and settled in Calvert County to raise his children. He was the son of the late Thomas Jerrold Williams, Sr., and Jennie Jean Travaglini Williams.
TJ retired from the US Capitol Police (K9) with 31 years' service. He was instrumental in developing and overseeing their K9 training programs. During his tenure, the K9 teams were top competitors in the US Police Canine Association, winning numerous awards. In his retirement years he focused on wildlife photography. He was an accomplished master photographer with a unique ability to find beauty in nature and everyday life. His photos have been featured in coastal magazines and galleries. TJ was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He always believed in 'family first'.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, MaryBeth Parker Williams; son, Kyle Williams (Rachel); sister, Donna Darr (Steven); brother-in-law, Mike Parker (Marsha); cherished grandchild, Kylie Williams and numerous nieces and a nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Williams.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place at Jesus the Good Shepherd in Owings, Maryland. Services are private. TJ was a supporter of wildlife conservation.
