Timothy Norman Vogl was born on February 26, 1960 in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Edward and Dorothy (Oswald) Vogl. Tim was a lifelong Arcadia resident and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School with the class of 1978.
On January 12, 1980, he was united in marriage to Donna Wolterman at St. John Catholic Church in Arcadia. Throughout his life, he worked for Mac Liechti, Rose Feed and Farm Supply for Rich Rose and owned Vogl's Bar and Café with his wife Donna from 1982-1995. Everyone loved going to "Chicky's." Tim bought his first semi-truck in 1986 and worked for several companies including Ron Sundrup Transfer. With Donna by his side, he started Tim Vogl Trucking Inc., hauling mainly livestock. He had driven millions of miles, coast to coast and also hauled from Canada to Mexico. Tim had bought countless trucks and trailers through the years.
Tim was an active member of the Arcadia Fire Department for over 40 years. He was also very instrumental in St. John Parish; always helping where he could; remodeling the church basement, the recent cemetery addition, and opening graves at the cemetery with Paul Schrad for over 30 years.
Tim would always help a friend or stranger in need and could talk to a stranger like they were an old friend. He was quite a storyteller, one of a kind. He loved Allis Chalmers Tractors, Peterbilt Semi's and Cat Motors.
Tim is survived by his wife Donna Vogl of Arcadia; his son, Ben Vogl of Westside, his daughter, Amy (Jamie) Igou and their son, Ryan of Arcadia, his daughter, Krista (Ben) Adams and their daughters, Grace and Hazel of Vail, his son, Lance (Michelle) Vogl and their children, Kora, Lilly, and Pete Timothy of Manning; his siblings: Sandy Lampman, Diane (Gene) Meiners, Vickie (Randy) Wolterman, Pat Vogl, Bev Vonnahme, Ed (Debra) Vogl, Doreen (Ken) Berg, Tony (Barb) Vogl, Mae (Bruce) Vonnahme, Bob (Michelle) Vogl, and Lisa (Steve) Hausman; his parents-in-law, Milo and Mary Wolterman; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,: John Wolterman, Jim Wolterman, Paul (Kim) Wolterman, Lois Dirks and friend Lawrence, and Patty (Jim) Vetter; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives and many friends.
Tim is joyfully welcomed into Heaven by his granddaughter, Ava Claire Adams; his parents, Ed and Dorothy Vogl; his sister, Carol Vogl; and brothers-in-law, Donald Lampman and Loren Vonnahme.
