Timothy Lee Balmer, age 65, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Born on December 16, 1959, Tim was a proud graduate of the Clarksville High School Class of 1978 and a lifelong resident of Southern Indiana.
Tim spent many dedicated years as a hod carrier with Laborers International Union of North America Local 795. Later in life, he worked at Amazon in Jeffersonville before retiring. A man of quiet strength and loyalty, Tim took pride in a job well done and in providing for his family.
He was a devoted fan of NASCAR and Indiana University sports, often found cheering passionately from his favorite recliner, sharing the excitement with those he loved. But more than anything, Tim will be remembered as a loving and steadfast father and grandpa-roles he cherished most deeply.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Melvin and Sue Wolpert Balmer of Clarksville. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Tara Leigh Balmer, and his cherished grandson, Jonathan Lee Balmer. He also leaves behind his loving sisters: Andrea Balmer Amy, Patty Balmer Good (Steve), and Kathy Balmer Quebbeman (Steve), along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss his steady presence and warm heart.
In keeping with Tim's wishes, cremation has been chosen and no formal services were held. Scott Funeral Home, in Jeffersonville was entrusted with his care.
