Timothy Byrnes

Timothy G. Byrnes of Mays Landing passed away, Saturday, April 27, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born on February 18, 1970 in Queens, NY. His childhood was spent in Georgia and briefly in Ireland. Tim moved to New Jersey in his sophomore year and attended Marlboro High School. Tim attended college in Massachusetts at Mount Ida. He bartended while attending and graduating college. While Tim explored a career in the pharmaceutical industry in New Jersey, he ultimately moved back to Georgia where he returned to his love of tending bar and eventually opened his own, Timmy's Village Pub. Being a bar owner was perfectly aligned with who Tim was - personable, witty, charming, and a night owl. In 2012, Tim reunited with an old friend and flame from high school and made the decision to move back to New Jersey, where he happily spent the remainder of his years. He is survived by his parents, Mary and John Byrnes, and by his life partner, Alyson Coughlan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 1st from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River, NJ. Funeral Mass Thursday, May 2nd, 10:30 AM @ St. Luke RC Church, 1674 Old Freehold Rd., Toms River, NJ, arrive at Funeral Home 9:30 AM. Cremation will be Private.
