Timothy Eck

Timothy Eck, 61, of Hope NJ, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2022, at Morristown Hospital after a brief illness. Timothy was born May 2, 1960, in Dover NJ to the late Paul Eck and Dorothy (Hoagland) Davies.
Tim graduated from Hunterdon Central High School after which he enlisted in the Army. He would later complete his bachelor's degree in history from Thomas Edison College. Tim had a long career selling building material supplies. Most of these years he spent working for Allied Building Products.
Tim loved God, his family, and his country. He was proud to carry the American flag as he marched with the Knights of Columbus in the annual Blairstown Memorial Day parade. He also took great joy in the times he was the announcer at the local football games. Tim dedicated much of his time in service to his church, St Jude's of Blairstown NJ. He was a religious education teacher, assisted with confirmation formation, and was very active in the Knights of Columbus at his church. He advanced to become a 4th degree member and was a Past Grand Knight, holding the office for 3 terms.
Timothy is survived by his son Fr. Timothy Eck II of Rome, Italy; daughter Alexandra Eck of Montclair, NJ; daughter Meghan Eck of Peoria, Illinois; mother of his children Barbara Eck; siblings Karen (Fred) White; David (Sherri) Eck; Ingrid Rennie; Peter (Leann) Eck; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit on Tuesday January 25, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Newbaker Funeral Home, a liturgy of Christian Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday January 26 at St. Judes RC Church, 7 Eisenhower Road, Blairstown, NJ 07825, intermet will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Tim's memory to Knights of Columbus, c/0 St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box N Blairstown, NJ 07825 or St. Jude' s Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
