Timothy J. "Tj" George

Southbridge: Timothy J. "TJ" George, 53, of Wall St. passed away on January 22nd surrounded by the love of his family.
TJ leaves his parents, Beverly and Patrick Loconto of Southbridge; his two brothers, Reed George and his wife Carrie of Hingham, MA and David George and his wife Cheryl of Southbridge; his nephews, Jack George of Brooklyn, NY, Austin George of Southbridge, Alex George and Joey George both of Hingham; his niece, Stephanie Chapman and husband Mark of South Hadley; several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and his long-time close friends, Randy Lamica, Bob Dougherty and Kyriakos "KK" Konstantakis.
All were touched by his kind spirit and unwavering love.
TJ earned his degree in Turf and Soil Science from the University of Massachusetts and worked for several years in the golf course industry, a profession that allowed him to blend his expertise with his appreciation for the outdoors.
TJ was a lifelong fan of New England sports teams and rarely missed a chance to cheer on his favorite players. He also had a knack for finding hidden treasures at yard sales and flea markets with his friend, Randy, a pastime he enjoyed immensely. An occasional visit to Foxwoods added some extra excitement to his life!
Above all, TJ cherished his family. He found great joy in family gatherings, where laughter and love filled the room. His warmth and devotion to his loved ones will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered.
TJ's family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Harrington Hospital, ER and ICU as well as the doctors and nursing staff at St. Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport, CT for their wonderful and compassionate care.
A celebration of TJ's life will take place in the spring or summer of this year.
His funeral will be held on Friday, Jan. 31st, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial to follow in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Southbridge.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30th, from 4:00 to 7:00pm.
