Timothy Matthew Greer

Timothy Matthew Greer, a cherished son of Greenville, North Carolina, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 44. Born on April 16, 1980, in the same town that witnessed both his birth and departure, Timothy's life was a testament to dedication, compassion, and the transformative power of education.
Timothy devoted his professional life to shaping young minds as a school teacher. His commitment to education was unwavering, and he inspired countless students with his profound knowledge and genuine care. Holding a Master's Degree in Education, he was not only a teacher but a mentor and guide, forever impacting the lives of those he taught.
His gentle spirit and dedication to his vocation were hallmarks of his character, reflecting the values instilled in him by his late parents, Eddie and Annie Mae Greer. Timothy was also preceded in death by his grandfather, John Jefferson Sr., grandparents Billy and Mary Neal, and his uncle, Allen Jefferson, his aunts Pat Gray, Margaret Mertz, Betty Whittington and his uncle Bobby Greer. Their love and wisdom were indelible influences on his life.
Timothy leaves behind a legacy of love and learning carried forward by his surviving family and friends, including John and Mary Lee Jefferson of Monticello, Arizona; April Wynne and her family of Warren, Arizona; and Amanda Jones and her family of Monticello, Arizona, his aunt Diana Greer and family, his cousins: Susan Starke and family, Donna Spencer and family, Michael Gray, Tommy Gray and family, Ralph Gray and family, David Whittington, John Whittington and family, Vicki and family, Gary Greer, Richard Seki, Ivan Chason, Kathy Bryan Greer and family, Christopher Greer and family and many other relatives around the world. Their hearts, though heavy with loss, are filled with the warmth and light that Timothy brought into their lives.
In remembering Timothy, we celebrate not only his achievements but the kindness and integrity with which he lived. His life serves as an inspiration, reminding us of the lasting impact one dedicated individual can have on the world.
