Timothy Jeter Jr., lovingly known as “TJ”, was born on December 19, 1987, in Cheverly, Maryland. From his earliest days, TJ carried a spark—an infectious light that would touch countless lives. He spent his formative years in Fairfax County, Virginia, graduating from Fairfax High School in 2006.Ever curious and intellectually driven, TJ went on to earn his degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), with a minor in Computer Science Information Systems. While at UNCC, TJ was a dedicated brother of the Kappa Sigma fraternity Alpha Mu chapter; as well as the professional fraternity Gamma Iota Sigma, forming bonds that lasted well beyond graduation. Throughout his life, TJ was deeply committed to service, volunteering with organizations like Hands on Charlotte, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. He also served as a disability note taker at UNCC—just one example of how he consistently made space for others to succeed. Professionally, TJ’s brilliance shone brightly in the financial sector. He began his career at BDO LLP as an Investment Accountant and rapidly rose through the ranks, contributing his talents to major institutions such as TIAA-CREF, the Charlotte Housing Authority, and Bank of America. Since 2018, he had thrived as a Senior Financial Analyst at Phusion Projects, bringing not only his intelligence but also his signature humor and warmth to every room he entered. TJ’s life, like many, was filled with triumphs and trials. He shared a meaningful chapter with his college sweetheart, Logan, with whom he welcomed his beloved son, Kendall. While life’s challenges sometimes made fatherhood a complicated journey, TJ’s love for Kendall was undeniable. In his own way, he sought connection, healing, and legacy. Those who knew him best believe that bond, though complex, remains unbroken—and that TJ’s spirit will continue to guide and inspire Kendall in the years to come. Those who knew TJ will tell you he was unforgettable. He had a sharp wit, a big heart, and a laugh that could light up a room. He was the kind of friend who showed up—whether you needed a ride, a pep talk, or a laugh until your stomach hurt. He moved through the world with deep compassion and loyalty, building a vibrant, diverse community of friends and chosen family. His brotherhood with Jamaal, Will, Damon, Nick, Danny, James (JT), and Patrick (Pat) was sacred. As were the lifelong friendships with his brothers from K–12: Sean, Logan C., Joey, Roman, and Barry.

Though his earthly journey ended far too soon at 37, TJ’s legacy of love, generosity, and authenticity will live on in all of us, and the five families of the donor recipients that T.J. gave a second lease on life to by being an organ donor, after his physical life on earth was over.

TJ was transitioned into Heaven by God and welcomed into heaven by his grandparents James & Martha Taylor; Reverend Lovell H. and Laura C. Richardson; and Spencer Jeter; along with his aunts and uncles: Noreen Jeter, Merilee Johnson, Brock ‘G’ McClung, Wendell P. Taylor, Cherelle McClung, and Dana Richardson.

He leaves behind an unshakable legacy and a wide circle of loved ones who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his son Kendall; three loving sets of parents— Rhonda & Lorenzo, Terry & Denise, and Timothy & Wilanda; siblings Jarrid, Courtney, Niah, April, Justin, Jayla, and Julian; aunts and uncles Jon, Della, Andre, Gina, Karen, Gerald-Uncle “G”, Marcia, Brenda, and Lovell; cousins Karena, Angelo, Monique, Germaine, Keith, Tomekia, Diedra, Tony, Chareka, Travis, Ayanna, and Delonte; along with a host of extended family, colleagues, and dear friends.

Forever in our hearts. Your laughter, your brilliance, and your love will echo through the lives you’ve touched. Rest easy, TJ. We’ve got it from here.
