Timothy “Tim” C. Krogman, 67, of Sabetha, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Sabetha Community Hospital from complications of a stroke and prostate cancer.
Tim was born on October 19, 1957, in Pawnee City, Nebraska, to Charles Thomas and Verla Lorene (Seematter) Krogman. He grew up in the Saint Bridget community in Marshall County, Kansas, and attended Summerfield schools until 1974 when his family moved to Seneca, Kansas, to run the Cedars “36” Motel. Tim completed his high school education at Nemaha Valley High School in Seneca, graduating with the class of 1975.
Tim had a lifelong passion for anything with a motor, from dirt bikes and motorcycles to go-karts and mini dozers, but he particularly loved dump trucks and semi-trucks. He started Krogman Trucking with his father, Charlie, and they enjoyed many years of working together until Charlie’s passing in 2007.
Afterwards, Tim continued trucking as an independent truck driver until his illness became disabling. Most recently, he worked for Ron Bredemeier Trucking. Tim had a generous spirit and loved helping others, whether it was finding a specific part to fix something or tackling the repairs himself because no one else could.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marilee Weber, and his brother-in-law, Patrick Weber.
He is survived by his children, Randi and Serenity Rinne, and their sibling, Skylar Dierking, who were very dear to his heart. He is also survived by his brother, Randall (Terri) Krogman of Seneca; his sister, Lorene “Lori” (Duane) Burdiek of Seneca; and his nieces and nephews. Tim had a wide circle of close friends, especially Dan Koch of Sabetha, with whom he lived for several years.
