Timothy J. "Tim" Luker, 65, of
Hampstead, NH, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at home with his family by his side. He was born on November 22, 1960, to the late George Luker, and Anna (Belli), in
Framingham, Massachusetts.
Growing up, Tim was a talented and serious piano student. He excelled at every high school sport he played including soccer, basketball, baseball, and football. Tim also lettered in both baseball and football and played on an American Legion baseball team. His father took the family on regular vacations to Eastham during the summer, along with adventures to Washington D.C. Gettysburg, and Prince Edward Island.
He graduated from the University of Michigan (where he met his wife) in 1982 and went on to complete his MBA at New Hampshire College in 1994. Tim happily ended his career as an IT consultant with Accenture in 2020.
Tim was a man of leisure and spent his retirement reading history, watching NE sports, golf, and Turner Classic Movies, as well as closely following politics. He combined his interest in politics and creative tendencies to go on and create political cartoons for his own and his family's amusement. Tim loved the game of golf and whenever he could, would play with his friends and family. (It would be a dishonor to him if it wasn't mentioned how he once hit a perfect hole-in-one.) His favorite courses included Passaconaway, Green Meadow, Pease, and Beaver Meadow. He also played on a Friday league at the Windham Country Club; though he didn't particularly like that course, he very much enjoyed the league members.
Although he didn't love traveling, he enjoyed it with his family in the earlier days spending time in Florida, Myrtle Beach, Hawaii, and Michigan visiting his in-laws. Wherever he traveled, it had to include at least one day of golf. Later, he went to Florida with his friends to golf and escape the hated NH winters. However, the place he loved most was Ogunquit, Maine. Whether going for a weekend or just a day, Tim loved riding the waves in that cold ocean during the summer, with his son and nephews in tow, as well as seeing them from the Marginal Way just after a storm.
Most of all, Tim will be remembered as a great conversationalist and having a playful sense of humor. He was loved by so many and his presence will be deeply missed.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of many 41 years: Anne (Zupko) Luker, of
Hampstead, NH; their children: George Luker, and his wife Ann Marie, of Derry, NH, and Emily Luker, of Hendersonville, TN; his siblings: Joe Luker, Jodie Luker, and Tom Luker; one grandchild on the way; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to Calling Hours on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 4-7 PM, at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road,
Windham, NH 03087. A Funeral Service will begin at 7 PM, at the funeral home. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit: www.carrierfuneralhome.com.
