Timothy McCoy, a devoted family man and accomplished professional, passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on June 17, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tim dedicated over 37 years of his life to a fulfilling career as an Assistant Vice President at Western Southern, where he excelled and made significant contributions.
Timothy’s education journey began at St. Vincent de Paul School, followed by Elder High School, and culminated at Ohio Business College. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving with distinction while maintaining nuclear warheads. His military service instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that he carried throughout his life.
Renowned for his larger-than-life personality, Timothy was a man of unwavering loyalty, particularly to his beloved wife, Linda McCoy (nee Ohmer), with whom he shared 54 wonderful years. Together, they raised two daughters, Pam Kamp and Lori McCoy, and Tim took immense pride in his role as a father. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Brandon (Sarah), Amanda (Jesse), Paige, as well as his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Kayson, Nash, Cameron, and Josephine, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Timothy was also a loving brother to Dale (Linda) McCoy, Diane (Pat) Heenan, Terry (Winnie) McCoy, and Kenny (the late Karen) McCoy. In addition, he cherished his role as an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, contributing to the lives of those around him with his steadfast support and affection.
Known for his strong-willed nature, Timothy prioritized his family above all else. His proudest accomplishments included his significant career at Western Southern and the integral role he played in nurturing and shaping the lives of his grandchildren.
Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Constance McCoy. His indelible spirit, dedication to family, and commitment to his career will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19th at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, 4619 Delhi Rd. from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Funeral mass will follow at 12 Noon at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 4025 River Road.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
