Timothy E. McGinty

A Memorial Visitation for Timothy E. McGinty, 57, of Lombard since 2005, formerly of Long Grove, will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, IL, 60047.

Timothy was born March 10, 1968, in Chicago, and he passed away October 6, 2025, in Elmhurst.

Timothy is the beloved husband of Mary Lee McGinty; loving father of T.J. McGinty, Kaeli McGinty and Callahan McGinty; dear son of the late Charles and Lorian McGinty; fond brother of Michael McGinty, Brian McGinty, and the late Charles McGinty Jr.

He grew up in Long Grove on the McGinty farm. He was rowdy for as long as his body let him. He would go crazy on 4 wheelers and snow mobiles from a very young age. He grew an early fascination with computers which led to his future career as a Systems Manager at Etrade and Susquehanna.

Timothy McGinty loved to spend weekends at Whitewater Lake in Wisconsin with his family. He would be found relaxing on the docks or taking his kids on boat rides. He was a massive fan of science fiction with his favorite book being Dune. He also loved cars and would watch F1 races whenever he got the chance. He would even refer to his BMW as his baby.

After attending school at Southern Illinois University, he met his wife, Mary. They lived happily together until he passed away. Mary and his three kids became what he cherished most, and he dedicated the last years of his life to give them a happy life.
