Mr. Timothy W. McSweeny, 70, of Buena Vista, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Brown Springs Church of God. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM at the church. Burial will follow the service in McSweeny Family Cemetery, 203 Michelle Lane, Buena Vista, GA, 31803.
Mr. McSweeny was born in Glendale, CA, on September 26, 1955, to William and Dorothy Black McSweeny. He served honorably in the United States Army until his retirement in 1988. Mr. McSweeny attended Brown Springs Church of God and First Assembly of Warner Robins and was a man of God. He was very family oriented and loving. Mr. McSweeny was a good husband, father, Papa, and brother. He was always supportive of his family and his wife. He and Mary celebrated fifty years of marriage in October. He worked for many years with Superior Tire before retiring to spend more time with his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary McSweeny; by a daughter, Cathleen Lona Berry; by two brothers, Mike McSweeny and Patrick McSweeny; a sister, Cheryl McSweeny; four grandchildren, Desireé McSweeny, Dustin Franks, Destiny Berry, and Brittney Berry; and a great-grandson, Trey Ryland Franks. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
