Mrs. Kimberly Teresa Brickey, 59, of Box Springs, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in the Chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, with Dylan Carroll and BJ Allen officiating. Burial will follow the service at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Preston, GA. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Vickers, III, Trevor Vickers, Will Allen, Johan Johnson, Jim Allen, Jr., and Eli Atkinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Hank Harry, Adam Harry, and Tony Thomas.
Mrs. Brickey was born in Cairo, GA, on January 16, 1966, to L. V. Williamson and Evie Harry Brasselton. She was employed as a portfolio assessor with the Department of Care and Learning with the state of Georgia. Mrs. Brickey loved being with her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and mamaw. Mrs. Brickey had a soul that shined brightly and a smile for everyone. She had a nurturing spirit and a helping hand for anyone in need. Mrs. Brickey enjoyed humor and often laughed at her own jokes as well as everybody else’s. She loved to stay in the road and travel and was happiest in the mountains. Mrs. Brickey loved sweet potato pies and yellow butterflies. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Brickey; a son, Leroy Vickers, Jr. (Brooke); two daughters, Jennifer Spradlin and Jessica Johnson (Jeremiah); two siblings, Wanda Williamson and Terry Atkinson (Melissa); seven grandchildren, Jimmy Vickers, III, Trevor Vickers, Will Allen (Isabel Dubon), Jaelah Johnson, Jada Vickers, Jonah Johnson, and Joni Fuller; sister-in-law, Karen Borgelt (Ed); and several nieces and nephews, Susie Vickers Hellums, Steven Vickers, Eli Atkinson, Dylan Carroll (Faith), Brandon Carroll, Tesa Carroll, Logan Carroll, Brian Jenkins (Bethany), Ashley Phillips (Shane), Courtney Atkinson and Brittany Jenkins.
