Mary Anna Brickey, 91, of Evansville, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025 at Aperion Care Lincoln. She was born January 30, 1934 in Monroe City, Missouri to the late Anna Lou (Montgomery) and Kendrick Lanham.
Mary was a dedicated homemaker and foster parent. She was a quilter and also enjoyed making clothing, cooking, and Reading. Mary was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and attended St. Benedict Cathedral.
She is survived by her sons, Francis (Jean) Hawn-Brickey and David (Sue) Hawn-Brickey both of Evansville; daughter, Peg (Mark) Kilburn of Oblong, Illinois; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia (Donald) Moore of Florissant, Missouri.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Hawn and second husband, James Brickey; and five brothers.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville with a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025 at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Father Ted Tempel officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Iberia, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to Raintree Quilting Club, 16 W Virginia St, Evansville, Indiana 47710 or Cancer Pathways, 5740 Vogel Rd, Evansville, IN 47715.
The family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice Care and Aperion Care Lincoln for taking such good care of their mother.
