Charles David Bigge, 72, of rural Evansville, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Deaconess Hospital Midtown Campus.
Charlie was born on January 23, 1953, in Evansville to the late Henry J., Sr. and Marie E. (Gumbel) Bigge. He worked for BASi Research Products and was a life member of St. Philip Catholic Church and the St. Philip Men's Club. Charlie loved the outdoors; enjoyed vegetable gardening and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Surviving Charlie are sisters, Rita Enlow, Martha (Tom) Sitzman, Carol (Joey) Byrne, Joan Bigge and Monica (Scott) Dalrymple; brothers, Henry (Judy) Bigge, Paul Bigge and Joseph (Sue) Bigge, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Whitsell and Mary Enlow and by brothers, Bernard Bigge and Raymond Bigge.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Philip Catholic Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at St. Philip Catholic Church, 3500 St. Philip Road, S., Mt. Vernon, IN 47620.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to The Parkinson's Foundation.
