Norma Jean (Boldry) Miller, 82, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Norma was born in Logansport, Indiana on May 23, 1943 to the late Ralph and Margaret (Costello) Boldry. Norma grew up in Kewanna, Indiana - a place she always held near and dear to her heart. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in education from Ball State University, and began her teaching career at Evansville Mater Dei High School. Later in life, Norma worked for Evansville ARC, where she retired in 1998 after over 15 years with the organization. Norma was always an innate caregiver. In retirement, her caring spirit led her to work at Home Instead Senior Care. Outside of work, Norma was involved in the Evansville Home Economics Organization and a faithful member of both Christ the King and Holy Spirit Catholic Churches. In her free time, Norma enjoyed traveling and flower gardening. She also loved animals. Above all, Norma loved her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Angela Mobley; sons, Kenneth Miller and Scott Miller; grandchildren, Jessica Buse (Cody), Matthew Mobley, Nicole Ethridge (Kyle), Cameron Miller, Junah Miller, and Violet Miller; and great-grandchildren, Booker Buse, Casen Stearley, and Jonathan Rhys Payne.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jon Miller, and infant son, John Ray Miller.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church (Annunciation Parish), 3010 E. Chandler Ave., Evansville, IN 47714, with Fr. Benny Chacko celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:15 am until mass time on Friday at the church.
