Timothy F. Morrissey

Timothy F. Morrissey, 58 years of age, resided in Hawthorne, NY and passed away at Bellevue Hospital in New York City on February 3, 2024, after an unfortunate accident.

Timothy was born on July 21, 1965, in Bronxville, New York to Francis Morrissey and Nancy Morrissey Hodder (Eagan). Timothy was a graduate of Holy Rosary School, Iona Preparatory High School, and Iona College. Timothy was a consummate bachelor and resided in Hawthorne most of his life.

Timothy worked at Pop's Deli for more than thirty-five years and was well known by the community at large. Timothy was an avid supporter of Westlake High School and everything Hawthorne. Timothy was a huge New York sports fan, the Yankees, Rangers and Jets being his favorite teams. Attending Rangers games was a highlight of his life. Timothy enjoyed traveling to Florida with his mother Nancy and was a music aficionado, attending more than 1000 concerts throughout his life. Another highlight was reading, he amassed a large collection of books and reviewed them all, sometimes giving them a thumbs down! One of Timothy's best qualities was his loyalty; if you were his friend, he would do anything for you. He lived for family gatherings and would rarely, if ever, miss an opportunity to get together with them.

Timothy is survived by his mother Nancy Morrissey Hodder, his brother Brian Morrissey, (Lisa, his 'sister-in-love'), his aunt Eileen Morris, (James) Uncles Marty Eagan (Annette), James Eagan, and Thomas Eagan (Fran), Robert Rynkar and many cousins and friends. Timothy was predeceased by his father, Francis Morrissey, his sister Susie Cozewith (Morrissey), his aunt Susan Rynkar, his grandmother Rita Eagan, his grandfather Martin Eagan, and several members of Francis Morrissey's family.

Timothy's visitation will be on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Hawthorne Funeral Home located at 21 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church located at 920 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, New York 10605 at 10:00 AM. He will then be interred at Mt. Calvary Cemetery located at 575 Hillside Avenue, White Plains, New York 10603.
