Timothy "Tim" Mark O'Hara passed away at his residence on June 3, 2025. Born on November 30, 1949, in Cleveland, OH, a son of the late Delmar T. and B. Janet (Savage) O'Hara. Tim was 75 years old at the time of his passing.
A graduate of Culver Military Academy, Class of 1967, Tim went on to earn his degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi, in 1972. He dedicated his professional life to the family business, serving as Vice President of W.C Bunting Co. in East Liverpool, OH.
Tim's commitment to his community was evident through his extensive involvement in various organizations. He was a proud Eagle Scout with Troop 19 in Wellsville and served as Past President of both the East Liverpool Rotary and East Liverpool Country Club. His passion for service extended to his roles as a volunteer at FISH Food Pantry, a board member for Potters Savings and Loan and the Buckeye Water District. Tim was also an avid supporter of new interests which enabled him to help initiate Pickleball at the East Liverpool YMCA. Tim was also a 32nd Degree Mason and belonged to the Riddle Lodge 315.
Tim was able to achieve his lifelong dream of obtaining his private pilots license; Eventually furthering his love of the sky by receiving his Multi-Engine Pilot License and other advanced certifications. He also served as past Chairman for the Columbiana County Airport. Tim contributed to preserving history through his involvement with the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in Reading, PA, offering visitors the unique opportunity to experience World War II by taking them into the sky in authentic World War II aircrafts.
Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Andrews O'Hara, his devoted soulmate since their marriage on September 1, 1973. He leaves behind two cherished children, Timothy Mark (Shannon) O'Hara of Goldsboro, NC, and Janet Marlynn O'Hara, of Monaca, PA, along with his adored grandchildren, Teagan and Mackenzie. He also leaves behind his siblings: D. Terrence (Carolee) O'Hara, of East Liverpool, Patrick (Stephanie) O'Hara, of East Liverpool, Kathleen (Eric) Hursh, of Carmel, IN, and Becky Jane O'Hara (Gerald Gendreau), of South Kingstown, RI
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 11AM - 12PM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta. The memorial service will follow at 12PM with Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church officiating, A graveside service will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Tim's name to the Mid Atlantic Air Museum by using the "donate" button or to FISH Food Bank at 213 W 4th Street East Liverpool, OH 43920 To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Timothy, please visit our floral store.
