Timothy Michael Rowland

Timothy "Michael" Rowland of Wilmington, NC, born on September 1, 1966 in Lumberton, NC, passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 58. A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend to many. Michael's life was marked by his dedication to his family, his work, and his passions. Michael loved spending time with his family, especially at the beach.

Michael served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, where he developed a lifelong passion for technology and service. He went on to become the Director of Information Technology for Randolph County, North Carolina, where his expertise and leadership were highly valued and respected by the many people that knew him.

An avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider, Michael loved riding and exploring the open roads and spending time outdoors in nature. His enthusiasm for technology was matched only by his commitment to helping others. He was a consistent contributor to the American Red Cross, mainly participating in blood drives.

Michael was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Thetis Jeanette Richardson; sister, Susan Almeida; his brother, Ricky Rowland; grandmother, Thetis Richardson; and mother-in-law, Glenda Odum.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Rowland; his son, Sean Rowland of Charlotte; his daughter, Sara Rowland of Wilmington; and his brother, Larry Rowland (Patricia) of Lumberton.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. Michael's legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a benevolent soul whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to charity of choice in memory of Michael.
